The Coconut Palms Resort is near Sosua on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Whether your idea of paradise is relaxing with a cocktail by the pool, or throwing yourself into the surf, you'll find it with at The Coconut Palms Resort. After a quick check in, find your spot next to the 90ft pool, have a drink at the Tiki Bar or get ready to dine in the excellent Palm Room Restaurant. Accommodations are classic Spanish-inspired modern design, the resort houses spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments. All resort units are tastefully decorated and equipped to make you feel at home, while the daily maid service ensures you know you're on vacation. All of the kitchens include a microwave, coffee machine, toaster and settings for four to eight (depending on the size of your unit.) Watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee, or watching it set with a cocktail, from your private balcony is highly recommended. Playa Encuentro is a ten-minute downhill stroll from the resort. Once there you'll have surfing, kiteboarding, horse-back riding and dirt buggy trips to thrill you. For those who would like to do some sight-seeing, the front desk staff can help you make reservations with a number of tour companies in the area. Whale-watching, mountain safaris, river trips and visits to the waterfalls are all available.
