Located in the heart of the wonderful Olympic vacation resort village of Lake Placid, New York, the Lake Placid Club Lodges is a short and picturesque drive to Whiteface Mountain. This year, for the sixth year in a row, readers of Ski Magazine named Whiteface Mountain one of the top five Ski Resorts in the Eastern United States. And this year, Conde Nast Traveler, arguably the nation's foremost travel publication, placed Whiteface fourth in its North American Top 20 ski destinations and first in eastern North America. Only Whistler in Canada, Aspen in Colorado and Deer Valley in Utah ranked ahead of Whiteface among the best places to ski and stay on the continent. The Lake Placid Resort also offers 45 holes of spectacular golf in the heart of the Adirondacks. It was designed in 1909 by the renowned Scottish architect Seymour Dunn. Dunn remained true to his origins, and the Links course represents Scottish Links style golf at its best with bunker-laiden fairways, native fescue, and large undulating greens. Guests at the Lake Placid Club Lodges are welcome at the Lake Placid Resort Beach on Mirror Lake Drive. This private beach, adjacent to our Lodges, offers excellent swimming in the clear blue waters of Mirror Lake and provides an interesting view of the Village of Lake Placid.
