FEATURED DESTINATION - SUNRIVER, OREGON Summertime, and the livin' is easy... But getting accommodations in Sunriver during the summer can be difficult. That's because Sunriver is one of the premier family recreational areas in the country. Located in Central Oregon, on the "dry" side of the Cascades, Sunriver is best known for beautiful sunny weather and outdoor activities. Vacationers can explore lava caves, go white water rafting on the Deschutes River or try skiing down Mt. Bachelor. The nearby quaint towns of Sister, Redmond and Bend boast art galleries, antique shops and great dining experiences.
Sunriver in summertime is a sportsman's paradise. For the golfers, choose from 20 outstanding championship golf courses. The Deschutes, Metolius, and Crooked Rivers offer fantastic fly fishing, with more than 500 miles of streams and rivers stocked with trout and steelhead. Sunriver has 27 miles of bike lanes, and there are nearby opportunities for horseback riding. Sunriver is almost surrounded by National Forest, offering over 2.5 million acres of hiking.
Upcoming Events in Sunriver Some of the upcoming events this summer in and around Sunriver are: June 14th - Sunfest Wine and Food Festival June 21st - Sunriver Chili Cookoff July 5 - 10 Sisters Quilters' Affair - 5 days of classes, lectures, and programs, culminating with the largest outdoor Quilt Show in the world the last day. Over 1000 Quilts will be displayed. www.stichinpost.com August 11 - 23 Sunriver Music Festival Where to stay in Sunriver The Sunriver area is blessed with some of the most highly rated and outstanding timeshare resorts in the country, including Stoneridge Townhomes and The Pines at Sunriver in Sunriver, Eagle Crest in Redmond, Inn of the Seventh Mountain and Mount Bachelor Village Resort in Bend, as well as several others. One of your best values in lodging will be found by searching these resorts' rental pages at http://www.MyResortNetwork.com/Oregon.asp. Q. We can't
use our timeshare this year, so I'm thinking of renting it. I want to
list it on http://www.MyResortNetwork.com, but how do we know what the
right price is. We need to get it rented, but we don't want to leave money
on the table....Amy M. Q: I have my timeshare listed for sale on http://www.MyResortNetwork.com, and I've been contacted by an interested party. He's asking questions I don't understand or know the answers to, regarding the deed, how we transfer the money, who pays for what, etc. What now?...George C. Ty: The last thing you want is delays or problems with closing the sale. Timeshares are a high ticket item, and a big commitment. Any hesitation or uncertainty on your part can make the buyer nervous, resulting in a "NO SALE". Contact a closing company that specializes in timeshares, not general real estate. There are three timeshare closing companies that advertise on http://www.MyResortNetwork.com, any of them can handle the entire process. They will typically get the job done faster and cheaper than a traditional title company, and they better understand the nuances of timeshare transactions. Every month our resident expert, Ty Mechere, will answer a few of the questions sent by our readers. If you have any questions regarding timeshares, you can email him at tymechere@MyResortNetwork.com He'll try to respond to any and all questions. One of the biggest changes in the timeshare industry over the last 30 years is the emergence of brand name chains, like Fairfield, Worldmark, Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt and others. Almost every timeshare developed in the last 5 years or more has been affiliated with a chain. These chains offer the flexibility demanded by most buyers, who realize they don't necessarily want to visit the same location every year. Also, as their family size changes, they can reserve different size rooms as needed. Of course, there is a price for this flexibility, so like everything in life, it's a tradeoff. Over the next few issues, we'll examine several of these chains. But for this issue, we'll look at the pros/cons of these chains vs. the traditional single location timeshares. Marriott, Westin, HGVC, and many other timeshare chains like them evoke images of vacationing in style. A Ritz-Carlton timeshare is more luxurious than the full time residences of most people reading this. So is there still a place for the single location resort that was the industry standard for so many years? If a location has a prime location near the ski resort, beach, lake
or golf course and has been well managed and well maintained, there's
no reason it can't be an attractive destination. The single location
resorts tend to be far less expensive than the chains. There are many
people prefer a quieter, smaller resort, where they know the people who
come year after year and build friendships. That's something you won't
find at the chains. Some shining examples of single location resorts
that have retained their original luster are Sandstone Creek in Vail,
Whispering Woods in Oregon, Port O'Call on Hilton Head Island, The Falls
at Ogunquit in Maine, Still Waters Condominium Resort in Branson, Orange
Lake Country Club in Orlando, and hundreds of others. Check them out

This feature allows potential buyers or renters to request an email if somebody lists a resort they're looking for. What that means for you, as an owner, is that we are already looking for renters or buyers for you before you even list your unit. Don't be surprised if you get several responses the day after you list your units, some resorts have dozens of people looking for units to buy or rent. What that means for you, as a non-owner, is that as soon as we find what you're looking for, you'll be notified immediately. No need to continually check the listings, we'll watch them for you. So, how do you get the most from this feature? Simple. If you're looking to buy or rent at a specific resort, or in a specific area, go to the resort(s) of interest to you, scan the listings that are already there, and see if you can find what you're looking for. Just above the listings, click on "Be notified of new postings for this resort" and add your contact information. It's that simple. And it works! Your e-mail address is not sold or shared with anyone else - we promise. Recently, a user listed
a rental on our site, and she was contacted within 21 minutes by an interested
party. She received 5 contacts the day she listed the rental.
Matching buyers with sellers. That's what it's all about. So you think you know it all? You can test your knowledge on a variety of subjects, from Buffy, the Vampire Slayer to James Bond, or take a test to learn what kind of dog you should buy at http://www.teststeststests.com/ A TIMESHARE BROKER has been successfully satisfying both buyers and sellers of Florida timeshares for 11 years, and prides itself on the personalized service they provide each individual family.
