The best thing that I can say about this place is that it is clean.
It is in need of some major updates. The stove and the microwave were from the 80's. The stove was so old that you could barely read the markings on it. There was only one tv for a townhouse that sleeps 8. One VCR, no DVD player. That is unacceptable. The paneling on the walls needs to be removed and replaced with new paint,new carpet, blinds, nice pictures, etc. Need new furniture. There were no bathtubs.
There is a gold mine here and nobody realizes it. The scenery is beautiful. The property needs to have indoor activities (bowling, movie theater) as well as outdoor activities. More things for small children, ie. playground.

Chalet High North is at Bryce Resort, Basye, Virginia, an ideal distance from Washington, DC for a convenient retreat. It is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where the Parkway is convenient for scenic drives. There is a small airport at the resort, which also makes it convenient for people from neighboring states. We have owned it for twenty years and have used it many times for wonderful exchanges around the world. Only because of our age are we now considering letting it go.
