We stayed at the Crane for a week in January 2008. Although there was some building work going on, it did not interfere with our enjoyment at all & I can honestly say it is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The accommodation, food, ambience, facilities & staff were all absolutely wonderful. The beach is beautiful very dramatic scenery with a strong surf which may not be ideal for very young children. The swimming pools were also fabulous with more than enough sunbeds which were the most comfortable I have ever experienced. Nobody was pestering you to buy drinks but there was a nice pool bar/rest if you wanted anything. With the kitchen facilities in the room you can cook on your own too. I hope we get the chance to visit again.
