The resort there is not for a vacation. I went there for a mission trip. It's an experience with in itself. The mayan village you are surrounded by is full of amazing people who live with close to nothing, but live happily. Yet, from my experience this resort is an oppression to the mayans there. From speaking with the mayans, the owners are only nice to them when there are visitors. Yet, I love belize, but wish that there wouldnt be any tension with in the village.
