Post a resort review for Eagle Village at Tamiment Resort

01/2018-The previous reviews are reflective of days long gone. The hotel that was previously on the property and that housed almost all of the amenities was demolished over ten years ago. If you are looking for quiet and nothing else, you will find it there. The units are out-dated (e.g., need new mattresses and furniture. Wi-Fi). Anyone staying there, particularly in the winter, needs to be aware of possibly being stranded on the mountain top without food, electricity or heat in case of an outage. Come prepared!!

My family and I stayed at Tamiment in July 2009 and were very pleased with the well equipped unit with two bedrooms. The kids loved the loft which was their private hide-away place. The peaceful wooded lakefront property together with the roaming deer was a welcome retreat from the bustling noise. The new indoor pool with game room and fitness room was also enjoyed by all.

We have stayed at Eagle Village resort for two years and could not be more pleased. We stay in a three bedroom and it gives us plenty of room to bring our daughter and grandchildren. There are also plenty of on site and local activities to keep them happy. There are even families of deer that roam the grounds and will eat out of your hand. The local golf courses are great and the prices are about $35 a round. That was hard to believe. The same courses in NY would be double that. Eating out is no problem because there are restaurants for every taste and prices are reasonable. All in all we give Eagle Village a 4.9 on a scale of 5.

Very quiet and wooded location. Well maintained units. Most units are individual buildings, great privacy. These are not row condos. Deer routinely walk through the area. Area attractions include Bushkill Falls,(a must do), rafting (without a doubt the very best thing to do for a day), horseback riding, shopping, flea market on Sunday, and the Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts. If you want a busy, crowded resort, this is not for you. There have been major changes in the amentities. Tamiment Hotel no longer exists. Eagle village is building its own pool/activities center. Currently, all guests get a free pass to Fernwood's pool and activities center. Sit back and enjoy the serenity, this is a unique vacation locale.

Very quiet and wooded location. Well maintained units. Walking paths down to resort facilities which are in the Tamiment Hotel. Security staff is great. Most units are individual buildings, great privacy. Huge indoors pool with sauna. Outdoor pool with 10 ft deep end. Sports facility inside, (tennis, racquet ball, vollyball, basketball, excerise room, game room) so it doesn't matter if it rains. Area attractions include Bushkill Falls, ( a must do), rafting (without a doubt the very best thing to do for a day), horseback riding, shopping, flea market on Sunday, and hopefully the Mountain Laurel Center. If you want a busy, crowded resort, this is not for you. There are some organized activities. Sit back and enjoy serenity.
