You can't beat the location, one block to the beach, one block to a nice shopping mall and water taxi pick-up/drop-off, many good eating places and night life within a 3 block raduis. It has a very nice State Park a 1/2 block to the North and a museum house and preserve grounds directly to the South. The resort is in the process of remodeling all the rooms to include granite counter tops in the bathrooms and kitchen. They will have the top 4 floors done by the end of 2006 and the balance of the floors by the end of 2007. The Exterior and most of the public areas have already been remodeled. It not a 5 star resort, but once it is all remodeled I would say it would rate a strong 4 star as it doesn't have all the aminities of a 5 star.

Resort is located on A1A, which borders the famous (or infamous) Ft. Lauderdale beach. Shops and places to play are all located within a few blocks, so a car is unnecessary, but if you have one, at least you can park 1 block from the beach in your own parking space.
Features both a swimming pool and a great sunning deck with very large whirlpool/spa pool, workout room, all the amenities including concierge service.
One of the prime locations.

This resort is in the middle of golfer's paradise and is located only 1 mile from the Atlantic Ocean. They also have private cabana with shuttle service to the beach. Full kitchen & washer/dryer for each unit.
Location is the key here. Walk to everything, no need for a car. The beach, restaurants, bars, shopping and the movies. The week we own has 1.5 bathrooms, a king bed, sofa bed and murphy bed. Blacony overlooks the intra-coastal waterway.
