Kahana Falls has a quaint Hawaiian charm. It's pink color reminds us of the Royal Hawaiian on Oahu. It's park-like grounds and tropical atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. All the workers on the property greeted us with warm wide smiles like they were happy to be there and happy we were there, too. The spirit of Aloha lives here and that's why we love Hawaii.
Being able to cross the street to the public shore access was marvelous. We had a front row seat to spectacular sunsets. A shopping center with restaurants is a brief walk away. This resort is a gem.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom unit overlooking the sand bottommed pool and the waterfalls. My wife and I felt that the resort offerred exactly what we were looking for. We chose the resort because it was a Gold Crown resort. It was peaceful and relaxing, yet the staff was very instrumental in assisting us when we wanted to explore and visit the surrounding areas. We also loved the activities that were offerred in-house. We can't wait to return with our children.

My one bedroom unit consists of one big family room with a pull-out sofa for two people, a fully equipted kitchen, a large balcony, and a view over the courtyard which has a swimming pool with waterfalls and a jacuzzi. Attached to this room is a bedroom with a queen bed and a kitchenette. You can split this bedroom from the family room for the possibility of renting one of the rooms or you can use it all together. This option is if you come to Kahana. If you want to go to another destination you can give your week at Kahana. Kahana Falls is half a block away from the beach and half a mile from the restaurants and shops. It contains a gym and all amenities. I give it 4 stars out of 5.

I reserved the two bedroom unit which consisted of a 1 bedroom condo with an adjoining single Hotel type room which is quite small. The balcony overlooking the courtyard is very pleasant and the courtyard which holds the swimming pool and Jacuzzi is not a large area but again adequate. The building and grounds are neat and clean and the employees at Kahana are friendly. There was an ant problem and the exterminator sprayed and the ants lived. I score this a 3+ out of 5 points
