We stayed in March 2006, not beach weather in O.C. then, but there's still plenty to do. This resort is on the bay side of 72nd street, which is about the middle of O.C. It is 1 block to Ocean Hwy (and the bus), 2 blocks to the beach, within walking distance to a few restaurants, the O.C. health club, & bowling. Since you have to cross the hwy to get to the beach, families with small children, who may have a lot to cart to the beach, may want something on the ocean side of the hwy. The unit was older, but well maintained & clean, had a small fully-equiped kitchen and living area, but nice-sized bedrooms, & washer/dryer. No dining table, just seating at the counter. Balcony overlooked the pool & had a view of the bay. Not fancy, but nice.
