My family with 2 teenagers stayed in a 2 bdrm unit in July 2006. This is a nice resort around mile post 9 on the beach. The unit was clean and well kept with balconies on the front and back sides. There are 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pool. The indoor one is small, but the outdoor ones were a nice size with lots of lounge chairs, a pleasant change when you've have enough of the beach. The Outer Banks is a great place to vacation if you want something that is not as commercial as some of the other East Coast beaches. There's still plenty to do, The Wright Brothers Museum, The Lost Colony, every water sport imaginable, plenty of restaurants and shops, and friendly people. The pace is a little slower, but isn't that what vacation is for?

Beautiful area that is perfect for the one who loves the great outdoors. Only minutes away from deep sea fishing, golf, hang gliding, shopping, great restaurants, or just relax on the beach hunting sea shells.
