I can't say enough wonderful things about the Sarasota Sands! I have been spending my summer vacation there for over 25 years. It is always an enjoyable week of good times with old and new friends. The resort is clean, the staff is helpful,the guests are friendly and there is a lot to do on the property.

Location, location, location! Beautiful setting on beach next to nature park. Had a wonderful time, but would like to see at least a little remodeling of the unit we stayed in.

I have been spending two weeks at Sarasota Sands since 1980. It's far more then a vacation for myself and my generations of my family now. It's a tradition, a family reunion, and a place we think about year round.
Every unit opens up to the center area where a pool, shuffle board court, cabanas, and large grassy areas are. This lay out is a far cry from concrete towers that do not foster human interaction, and is large part of the charm of the Sands. Facilities include a tennis court, racquetball court, indoor jacuzzi, sauna, basketball, billiards table, game room, & bicycles.
Since its the last resort on Lido key, you have all of South Lido beach at your leasure. Gorgeous water and sunsets and only a mile from St. Armands circle.
