The resort is situated among the most scenic land in Texas. It is breathtaking. The shopping at a town nearby was wonderful, with its many cozy, locally owned shops. I think it is called Wimberly. We went tubing down the Guadalupe River and horseback riding across from the Silverleaf Resort. There are two uncovered pools at HCR, as well as a very large covered pool that someone told me is handicap accessible. Children can watch movies in the "theater" and there's even popcorn. And what can I say about Canyon Lake except that it is one of the cleanest lakes in Texas and the fishing is very good. Be sure to go to nearby New Braunfels and try out the German food. It's good and it's relatively inexpensive. What a great area to vacation!

This resort is in a very pretty part of Texas. It's very close to the Guadalupe River, an underground cave, and both San Antonio and Austin. There are many family-friendly amenities at the resort and with its close proximity to San Antonio and New Braunsfel, lots or "touristy" things to do, as well. Don't miss the chance to see this resort, and if you own a week, you can stay at all of the other great places SilverLeaf resorts are located.

What a great place to go with so many close places around to explore. We love it. It truly is a beautiful place. It is close to San Antionio, Austin and Schliterban a great water park. Also, there is tubing close by. Don't pass it up if you get the chance.
