Sol Mar Beach Resort is great. The location is one of the best in Cabo. Located on a private secure beach where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. The setting is peaceful, secure and beautiful. There are 2 swim up bars at two of the pools and a third pool is a resistence pool.You cannot swim in the ocean because of the currents, but there are other areas to swim, like Santa Maria Bay and Medano. The food is wonderful at the restaurant and you can walk to the marina and town where the owner of Sol Mar owns some great restaurants. The rooms are very clean and nice, but not fancy. It is a wonderful spot to see the whales from the beach.

We are owners at SolMar and have visited there for the past 8 years. The resort is laid-back, friendly, very well maintained, and close to everything. All rooms have views of the water. Rooms are very comfortable and the maid service is generally excelent. The resort has 3 swimming pools-heated to a very comfortable temperature. During whale season, there is excellent whale watching right from the beach. The staff is exceptional and friendly. It's a great place for a vacation.

We stayed at the Somar for Thanksgiving 2004 in room 1609, La Roca II Suite, and it was awesome. The View at Lands End is sensational and this room was large with it's own private outside jacuzzi and 2 baths. The shower view is awesome and the unit it built into the granite rock formations of Lands End. The pool is great cause it's always heated to a great temp. The room service was excellent. This room at Solmar is worth every penny.!
