We just returned from a fabulous vacation at the Tropic Shores -Apr 2008. When we first walked in we were a bit surprised by how small and ordinary the condo looked compared to other Gold Crown resorts but once we looked out to the beautiful view from the balcony, met the unbelievably friendly, hard working staff & walked the gorgeous beach, we soon understood how this resort retains its status. The staff does everything it can to make your stay the very best. We were provided clean towels every day. For about $20. you could rent beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards etc for the whole week. Reserve the b'bque & it is heated & ready for your use when you need it. The size of the resort makes it a quiet place to relax. Loved it.

This is one of a very few Gold Crown resorts in Daytona. Every unit has a private oceanfront balcony with a spectacular view. There are a lot of activities offered at the resort. The amenities include beach chairs, umbrellas, bicycles,boogie boards,shuffleboard,game room (with pool tables), sauna, excercise room, hot tub, and more. The staff bends over backwards to take care of you. This resort is small enough to cater to all of it's guests, but large enough to offer the activities and amenities you want on a vacation. Tropic Shores is my favorite place in Daytona hands down, and I have stayed at 7 different Daytona resorts.

My husband and I loved this resort. WE were there in August 2004 and absolutely loved it. It is actually were he proposed to me.SO tropic shores holds a special place in our hearts. The only bad this was the elevators were down for a day or two and we were in the tenth floor, but they ficed quickly and proficiently.

We stay here every year. Pool, right on the ocean, plenty to do in Daytona.
