I use to vacation here with my parents as a young girl.I can tell you..It was the best vacation ever..
I know they have new ownership now and made some updates,but still same activities..They still have horseback riding.swimming,rodeo,hayride,bbq and best of all the parents can relax:)parents can feel safe letting their children(12 and older)hanging with other children here..perfectly safe..because it is a resort on it's very own..
Also.I would like to add that it's the best vacation spot,b/c there isn't retail shop and movie theaters.yes parents..You actually get to enjoy being with your children:)

this place is ok for one or two nites , rooom accomodations are what i expect to pay for a $50-$60 a nite room along an interstate . i travel extensively and would not put this place on my list of hot spots to visit frequntly . 99% of staff very friendly , restuarant meals good and priced fair for lunch and dinner . breakfast overpriced . if you have teenagers ,they would get bored here . i have 5 kids all grown up now but i have an idea of what they would like and dislike . you are a good 30 plus miles from any type of retail establishments ,so dont forget anything . took the time share presentation and first price offering was between $32-38k .bank robbery !second offer around $10k . better off renting room by the day , less comitment.

The River Ranch is a fun place to visit. They offer hayrides, cook outs, a championship rodeo, horseback riding, petting zoo, bike riding, air boat and swap buggy rides, skeet and trap shooting, and much more. It's a true country getaway for the whole family. The cabins are beautiful and the scenery is awesome!
