Just to add to my husbands BAD review of Woodbourne Estates the floors in our unit had hair on all the tile floors and they don't believe in cleaning under endtables,beds or nightstands. The unit smelled musty and the wash machine leaked most of the water on the floor. Most of the kitchen appliances were dated including the microwave. Half way into the week our camcorder was stolen while we were out and the only person who was in the unit all day was the cleaning person. When we went to the office to speak to the manager she just gave us a blank stare did nothing. We were made to feel as though it was our fault and my husband had to call the next day because the issue was never addressed! We did have nice weather and met great people.

Just got back today (1/17/09) The place is dirty and not like we are used to. But half way into the week they clean the room up. When we got back after a day trip we found that our video camera had been stolen off the kitchen table. When we told the people at the office they could only say that it never happened before. We would NEVER go back there agin.

The Woodbourne is truly small,30 unit,resort which makes up for its size with a huge heart. It offers the personalized touch where the staff refers to you by name and treats you like honored family.Timothiea at the front desk is most efficient and assures each guest that they will be well received.Vicky, the activities director,is a giant in her field..having fun and making sure every guest does too. As we met visitors staying elsewhere, they were amazed at the comeraderie and fun Woodbourne guests shared.Both the adults and the kids made new friends. Despite the devastation the island suffered from hurricanes in 04 & 05, Woodbourne is up and running, more than some large hotels,shopping malls and casinos can claim. We enjoyed our stay !

We all had another great vacation this year. Staff is so friendly and informant. You have a great seletion of daily activities and plenty of alchol to lighten up all your worries. Vicky is a great activities director she really knows how to show you a great time much love to her. Thanks for a great time see you next year.

Just returned from this resort and thought i would tell you the score.
Intrensically it is fine.yes there is room for improvement however it is a good deal.the pool is often empty and very quiet.There are activities near the pool where lots of alcohol is given for free (cool)The apartments are spacious and well cooled although upstairs can get abit warm during the day.Staff are very good and security are friendly and helpfull.However as always please keep your doors locked.
We enjoyed our saty with my daughter who is 5.it is quiet and restfull.Hire a car and stay out of the taxis they are expensive.Whilst you are not at the centre of it all we liked the seclusion.If you want walk to xanadu beach it takes 15-20 mins
