Big Canoe is located just 45 minutes north of Atlanta in the Georgia Mountains. We are the closest real mountains to Atlanta and to all of Florida, with elevations up to 3,150 feet above sea level. The Appalachian Trail begins just north of us. Come see Big Canoe! Some come for a weekend and stay for a lifetime. The people are friendly, the seasons are mild.
