LINDA ROLLYSON

This is a older resort in much need of a overhaul. The unit we stayed in was a 3 bedroom that was roomy, but furniture, carpet, tile , windows, all needed replaced. The unit was comfortable, and I understand they are in the process of updating the indoor pool and many of the buildings. We were too far from the beach to have a view, had to drive to the one outdoor pool that was very cold in Sept. Area is lovely, Kitty Hawk nearby, also don't miss the wild horses on Corolla Beach; 4 x 4 needed for this. Many area restaurants that were reasonable in price. Also, take a ride down the coast and visit a couple litehouses. Would return here again is updated.

A Grand Resort. My family reunion of 12 took advantage of ALL many amenities. Indoor/outdoor pools, tennis, heated spas, barbecue,Barrier Island is the Ocean. Trams available we walked all over complex. My wife & I over 70. we are Floridians & We went into Ocean Late OCTOBER. You do not have to leave the complex for nothing. Complete kitchens formal dining room etc. Whatever you go Do Not leave without visiting the Wild Horses on the Oracoke Beach, several miles north of complex. Many Crafts in area as well as Excellent low cost restaurants nearby. Golf courses aplenty, boating, fishing or just relax by either pool obtain Winter Tan be envy all your Friends. I cooked Breakfast every day for entire family and enjoyed Everything. ENJOY.<

We rented a three bedroom unit in July. It was more than big enough for my family of five. However, I would check how close your unit is to the beach. It was impossible for young children to walk that distance. There is a tram to pick you up if you were lucky enough to have it running when you wanted it. Also, I have stayed at a lot of timeshares, and I was very disappointed in the maintenance and cleanliness of the unit we stayed. My family personally will not be returning to this particular resort.

We live in the area and visit the resort as much as possible. Really enjoy the indoor pool and the short walk to the beach to fish. Staying in last week of RED (Oct) makes it nice no big crowds and not cold yet.

Beautiful ocean to sound resort! From sunrise to sunset, natural beauty surrounds you. We have enjoyed family cookouts by the outdoor pool, and the kids love to bounce between the pool, the snack bar and the ocean. Every morning I ride my bike along the trail that runs for miles right in front of the resort. We have also enjoyed kayaking and boating on the sound. Our family has been going to Barrier Island Station for over 14 years and we always love it!
