We stayed at this resort during the week of July 7 to 15th of 2006. We throughly enjoyed this resort. Our kids had a great time - fishing, swimming and boating. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit that was quite comfortable - the bedroom was huge (one could put another king bed in there). The unit was very clean. The resort was very rustic and reminded us of cottage living. Renfrew is approximately a 25 minute drive where you can purchase almost anything. We visited Eganville caves that the kids loved - on our next trip we will be going white water rafting. There is an outdoor firepit at the beach and we roasted marshmellows almost every night. This resort is a gold crown and truly lived up to its name. We will be returning.

I wasn't very satisified with the lodge in December 2004. There were mice in the kitchen and the plates were stored dirty. The pots and pans had baked on grease.
The carpet looked as if it had never been vacuumed, the bed coverings were soiled and worse of all, the floor boards creaked incessably when people in adjoining units walked around at night-as if all the units shared the same floor!
This could be a good resort with proper care and maintenance, but it's not worth a valuable time-share week.
No comparision to my 5-star resort in Puerto Vallarta!
