Visiting Sanibel for more than 25 years. Love the pristine environment, scenery, wildlife and shelling. Once you visit, you will fall in love with the island and Casa Ybel Resort also. The shell museum is world renown as is the shelling itself. Ding Darling wildlife refuge takes up a large part of the island prohibiting too much development and the town is very well governed. There are no high rise buildings on the island and only small businesses with plenty of unique quality restaurants. I will continue to take my vacations at Casa Ybel because it remains one of, if not the best vacation spot we have ever visited in the world. We own several additional weeks that will never be sold.
