My husband and I purchased a floating week. This year will be our 2nd vacation to Coconut Palms. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Location is great. New Smyrna is a smaller community than Daytona and Orlando and much more relaxing, but close enough to all the attractions in Florida. Buying our week thru an internet website from an owner that was willing to sell saved us nearly 85% off the price that the resort itself was asking when we toured. Relaxing at the resort that is located right on the beach has been exactly what we were looking for. I recommend this resort to anyone that wants to escape the hype and just enjoy the sun and the ocean. Great local eateries also.

We went during the hurricane's. Beach had severe damage. We still had a great time. The people at the resort were great. The locals in New Smyrna were incredibly nice. One of the locals we meant at a local Italian Resturant (can't remember the name-great food great service) took us to a park to show us the Manitees. He spent two hours with us. He told us where to go and what to do.
Everything is close to New Smyrna. Or you can just stay on the island and find things to do. We weren't going to buy a time share when we got there, but we fell in love with New Smyrna. We are going back next fall.

the greatest location to wake up and see the ocean. take breath of fresh air and exilirate your lungs one hour from most major attractions. a minute walk to the ocean. inground pool. close to datona attractions about 20 minutes. 20 minutes to datona airport you can even drive your car on the beach and have a great picnic. get up early and enjoy a beautiful sunrise. take pictures to remember the moment over and over again. this is the kind of view dreams are made of. do not let it pass by.
go to sleep with the musical sound of waves basking on the beach.
the tranquility will enhance the other enjoyments of dream vacation

It was fantastic ! I really enjoyed it ! Stayed in top floor unit (4611) with spectacular view. Unit had central air condidtioning but didn't need it because of the ocean breezes. The resort has complimentary changing of linen/towels and trash removal. Coin operated Washer/dryer, game room and large TV lounge all provided on ground floor.
Great place to relax after a day at the races away from Daytona crowds.
New Smyrna Beach was voted "Best Beach in Florida" by the readers of FLORIDA MONTHLY MAGAZINE and has numerous art galleries, live theater, shopping and dining. Visit historic Flagler Avenue with its quaint shops, pubs and restaurants. Deep sea fishing and golf nearby.
I played lots of bridge and had a great time !

I enjoyed a spectacular ocean view from a corner condo on the top 6th Floor, directly facing the ocean. Unit 4611 accesses 2 heated pools (adults/children), shuffle-board court and a large patio gazebo where you can enjoy evening pool partys w/entertainment, food and drinks provided by the resort management. The large bedroom, with a queen size bed, TV, and large double dresser, shares a lounging balcony with the living room. Sleep to the sounds of the ocean while feeling the slow evening breeze. Large living room includes full size sofa bed, chairs, TV, VCR, and adjoining dining area. Full kitchen features large sink, oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. Cooking/eating utensils, linens & towels are provided. Central air.
