We loved the convenience of a well-furnished unit with nice bathrooms, a full kitchen plus a kitchenette in the lock-off area. Just beside the building flows a gurgling brook, shaded by huge coniferous trees. A short walk leads into a park on the edge of the Great Smokey Mt. National Park and the other way it's just a few blocks to downtown Gatlinburg. Days of hiking, exploring, and natural adventure provide the exercise that produces restful sleep. Aside from numerous quaint shops, Gatlinburn boasts a huge aquarium, Ripley's Believe-It-Or-Not, candy kitchens, restaurants and close proximity to Dollywood and numerous shows and attractions in Pigeon Forge. Across the mountain is the Indian town of Cherokee, NC a world of its own. Good!
