wow, wow, wow. one of the most beautiful places i've ever stayed in the carribean. the service was great, the rooms were beautiful and big and the property amazing. i enjoy golf and the views from the course were as wonderful as the courses themselves. early tee offs with afternoons in the sun or doing a lazy float down the river pool. life is good! i stayed there this past feb. and the weather was perfect. sunny and hot. book early. they run out of room 6 months ahead of time.

I travel extensively and the Hacienda del mar is one of the best and most beautiful resorts. It is part of the Hyatt Regency and Dorado complex. The grounds are 5 star beautiful. The weather in Feb is always 85 and sunny. The Robert Trent Jones golf courses are some of the best in the world. I completely enjoy floating down the riverpool with its waterfalls, palm trees and hot tubs. The day spa has many deluxe treatments to choose from. I found them all excellent. The gym is well equiped. You can use all the facilities at both complexes. The rooms are very large, well equiped with beautiful furnishings, jacuzzi,TV's and stereo. The balconys and view are magnificent. There is fine dining available at both resorts. Overall Wonderful!

I stayed at this property in March 2003. The condos are well laid-out and nicely appointed. Some things were starting to show age (mirrors, fixtures, .) but I was told it was going to be refurbished soon. The beach is beautiful, and the pool area is fabulous! A riverpool that begins at the adjoining resort, Cerromar, winds down to the Hacienda del Mar. Great for families - kids seemed to love this! The pool/beach bar and restaurant could have stood a more extensive and well-rounded menu, but the dine-in restaurants were all nice. Overall, a very nice resort in a great location! Enjoy ~
