It beats staying off-mountain. The best thing, apart from being lower in rent that others in the village, was the proximity of the one bedroom unit to the lifts. This was handy with frozen feet, tired toddlers and changing their clothing. The Alpine Meadows shuttle added variety to the trip. The landlord had lots of tips for saving on everything from 2nd hand gear to specials on ski hire. We even got invited out to a ski'n'yacht club's ski-around, and tackled areas I'd never dream of doing on my own.
