We stayed in a unit facing Lake Wallenpaupack. There was a full kitchen, separate bedroom, living area. The ground unit was all redone and there was no problems. Everything was updated, clean, fresh and beautiful. I would recommend staying in an updated unit and face the huge lake. There was activities, pool and the entire resort seems to be on an upward swing. I'd be interested in buying a resale unit with timeshare capability from this resort or an owner as you can see this must be managed by a much better company. A few years ago we stayed here and it wasn't as nice as it is now. There is a nice restuarant in a nearby town of Greeley, called the Pinehurst Country Lodge. Prime Rib, and great dishes. I'll be going back.

tanglewood is an older resort . most of the rooms have been renovated. the resort is split up in four locations. the main resort which is called phase 1 and 2, woodmont ,golf resort and the ski resort. tanglewood offers in house upgrades. for instance, if you own a one bedroom in woodmont, you could request a two bedroom in the golf area if it is available for the extra maintenance fee for a two bedroom. there are a lot of activities during the week for kids and adults. plus a very friendly staff.
