We were here in April, and it was beautiful. From our window we could see the most beautiful colors you would ever want to look at. Walking in the woods was a pleasure in itself and the pool was so clear and restful. We are going back for the skiing season. I hear it is really great skiing . Way to go Highlands!

This is a very nice quiet place to relax at. The indoor swimming pool is very nice. Boone is only 10 miles away and shopping is nearby. Plenty of walking trails and beautiful scenery. Great place to take kids for the outdoors. In Banner Elk stop by top of the world for day trips, water, rafting and mountain repelling. Say hi to April and she will be glad to help you out with whatever you want to do or equipment you need.
