Because we wanted a resort close to St. Louis, we chose Vacation Villas the first week of July, 2006. The outdoor grounds are huge & the units were very nice but pretty far from St Louis attractions. It's literally in the country, but seems to be a perfect spot to relax or to visit surrounding rural Missouri (Hannibal/Mark Twain's hometown); don't plan on the "city" life if that's what you want! I would return. We didn't get to take advantage of on-site things, like horseback riding or gym, but I would love to see the major "Inn" (undergoing renovations & closed at our stay) & the stone building at the "office" after they are done. No laundry facility.Take a fishing pole (small lake), a bike, & groceries to hang around the site!
