Sweetwater at Lake Conroe

Sweetwater at Lake Conroe is an outdoor enthusiast’s playground in one of the most beautiful areas of the Lone Star State. Located right on the lake, Sweetwater at Lake Conroe has several nearby marinas to choose from. The lake offers fishing, sailing, waterskiing, and much more. Golfing is available onsite, or you may choose to play one of about a dozen other courses in the area. Other on-site fun includes four outdoor pools, hot tub, 18 tennis courts, exercise equipment, conference facilities, snack bar, and restuarant. Two bedroom units (maximum occupancy 8) have 2 baths, 3 queen beds and 1 Murphy bed. Two bedroom units (maximum occupancy 6) have 2 baths, 2 queen beds and 1 sleep sofa; or 1 queen bed, 1 Murphy bed and 1 sleep sofa. Guests may bring their own boats; however, docking facilities are not available onsite. Marinas offering boat rental, sailing, skiing and fishing are located nearby. Sightseers will enjoy visiting Sam Houston State Park, the Crighton Theatre, and NASA (a two-hour drive away), plus many museums, festivals, and rodeos.

Another beautiful resort is Inverness at New Braunfels. Set in the antique capital of Texas, Inverness at New Braunfels provides first- class accommodations for your vacation. Water sports can be enjoyed at any of several lakes in the area, with fishing no further than the spring-fed river bordering the resort. Back on land, golf and tennis can be enjoyed within a mile of the resort. The rich German heritage of New Braunfels makes it a most interesting town to explore, but its close proximity to San Antonio and Austin provides a great sight-seeing base. Points of interest include the Alamo, Sea World, San Jose Mission, River Walk and Six Flags.
