Units overlook the slope, and one may ski to the lifts or lodge. No driving involved! Besides downhill skiing The Pines offers other winter activities such as Ski School, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, snowboarding, and sleigh rides. In the warmer months, exploring the scenic Shenandoah Valley and its caverns is a popular pastime. Enjoy tennis, an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, 18-hole golf course, miniature golf, grass skiing, hiking, horseback riding, resort restaurant, live entertainment, and laundry rom. Swimming, canoeing, and fishing are also available at Lake Laura. Nearby activities are BBQ area, biking, boating, car rental, children's pool, conference facilities, fishing, grocery store, hairdresser, horseback riding, lake, medical facilities, mountain, playground area, river, shopping area, and tennis. Local attractions are Shenville Creamery and Garden Market, New Market State Historical Park, and Paper Treasures.
