WorldMark Lake Tahoe south of Lake Tahoe along the Nevada borderline. There's no better place to celebrate the good life than Lake Tahoe—America's year-round playground. Popular attractions are Emerald Bay State Park, an underwater state park and the resting place for boats, launches and barges used in the lake before the turn-of-the-20th-century and home to Vikingsholm, a Scandinavian-style castle, which once was the home of heiress Lora Josephine Knight; Tallac Historic Site, an 74-acre historic site that captures how life was in turn-of-the-20th-century South Lake Tahoe, featuring the remains of the Tallac Resort and three large summer estates built by wealthy San Franciscans, and; Nevada State Railroad Museum, a museum that houses a collection of 65 locomotives and cars, including 40 built before 1900, located in historical Carson City.
