I have been going to The Driftwood Beach Club since I am 9 years old. I now own there with my husband and 2 children - 10 yrs and 6 yrs. We look forward to our time there and never want to leave. We feel like it's our second home - minus the stress of everyday life! Ellen and Christina are wonderful and nothing is too much for them. The Driftwood is immaculate and well cared for. It's a piece of my childhood and now my children get to experience it.

We stayed at the Driftwood in February 2008 and really enjoyed the resort. It is a very clean resort with a very helpful and friendly staff. The pool is the cleanest and warmest you will find. The staff hosted a welcome coffee and donuts the first morning so guests could meet each other and to recommend tourist sites and restaurants other guests have enjoyed. They also hosted a wine and cheese get together on Wednesday. Lauderdale by the Sea is a beautiful quaint area. Many great restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. There is plenty of parking but you won't need your car very often. We will stay there again in the future.

We stayed at the Driftwood during the July 4th week this year. The resort is an old property, but it is so well-kept that it seems like it was recently built. When I saw the place it was like walking back into 1970. This was not a bad thing, I felt like a kid again. Ellen and the staff were great. The service was like 1970 as well, friendly and helpful. Within steps are several good bars-resturants and shops. Lauderdale-by-the Sea is close enough for day-trips to the Keys and South Beach. Just off the beach is a coral reef that is worth diving (we are divers and wish we had known, we had to rent tanks and weights). There is a pier not far down the beach, and from it on the 4th was a great fireworks show! Ignore the warnings.Stay here!

February 13, 2006 We have been coming to the Driftwood off and on for the past few years. We feel like family when we stay there. We do not own,but rent for a week in February. The staff is personable and attentive. We love the-get-to- know each other breakfast on the Sunday after we arrive. The rooms are perfectly clean and spacious. The surrounding areas are perfect. The beach, shops and restuarants are at your fingertips. After reading some of the other opinions stated I can only say it must have been a bad week for them at the time. Looking forward to seeing you next week! Dan and Nancy

The resort was very well maintained and the unit was clean and updated. The 1-bedroom was great for our family of 4! Walked to the beach every day and had a great time - look forward to coming back next year!

Stayed here in early June as a gift from a family member. I found the staff courteous, respectful and responsive. Facility clean and well maintained. Although not directly on the beach it is a strenuous walk of 50 yards through their gated beach property. Easy access to major thoroughfares in Ft Lauderdale and Ft Lauderale area in general.

We stayed at the Driftwood Beach Club,4 occasions in the past 22 months.I continued to rent each time my family came to S.Florida,I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, the location and the price.Unfortunatley, our last vacation there was a completley different experience,01/05.The rental was not clean the way it was before. They were under staffed with maid service. The lady who works the front office seems to be in charge of the maid service now and yet did not change anything when requested. We heard there use to be a company that did the maid service and that is not the caseanylonger. Why?Something needs to changeThe owners need to look into this ASAP! If service & mgnmt changes Iwould recommend the beach club if not then NO.

This is not a modern resort, the staff is neither helpful nor nice, and I will never return to this area again. I recently visited southern Florida with three of my best friends, we bought a timeshare at Driftwood and left before the week was even half over, it was a nightmare! Who are these people, everyone was very backwards, maladjusted, incompetent to say the very least. Stay far away from this place, which by the way is not on the beach, the pictures are deceiving.

We have been owners for the last 10 years. Driftwood is a great vacation destination. The rooms are modern and renovated. The staff is helpful and the location is ideal.

Beautiful, newly renovated one bedroom condo one block from the beach, great restaurants and shopping, Once you arrive you can park the car and walk to every kind of entertainment you desire. Minutes from Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. Quiet.gated and very secure. A week of Paradise.
