We have owned a lockout unit at Powhatan Plantation since 1988. It is a wonderful family resort, well guarded at the gate, and very safe to walk around after dusk to enjoy the evening coolness. We have taken many family and friends there and have always had a wonderful vacation together. There are so many attractions to see that they can't be squeezed into a week's worth of vacation. We try to see something new each time we visit Williamsburg. The units are well equipped, clean, air-conditioned and comfortable. We really like the availability of a washer and dryer. The facilities are great too-large pool complex, basketball, dining, exercise room, playground, tennis, etc. We highly recommend the resort to anyone visiting Wmsburg.

My husband and I visited Powhatan for the first time in June 2004. We were extremely surprised at the beautiful surroundings, incredible accomodations, and wonderful amenities. The pool looked fantastic, the historic building is a site to behold. The grounds were meticulously care for and we were just so impressed with the whole resort. We are new time share owners and were very apprehensive to visit after reading about some problems others have experienced. It has come a long way since its improper management and we were just thrilled to see the progess that has been made. Anyone coming to this resort will be so glad they chose it.

As a member of, and the founder of, the Powhatan Plantation Owners Advisory Committee I'm happy to report that Sunterra/ RPM has finally admitted to their failing to properly manage the property beginning in 1997 when they took control, and continuing until recently. Owners filed thousands of complaints about their mismanagement, but Sunterra did almost nothing for many years. The Gold Crown and RID ratings were lost due to the poor management. But they finally are bringing the property back to what it was in the 1990s. The property now looks very good, under the current manager Alex Vasquez.

I own this resort and all of my family and friends have visited. All the attraction's and the shopping are very inviting.

We love it here. Our unit has a downstairs jacuzzi, 1 br and 1 bath, full kithen, upstairs has 1 br with loft. 1 bath and full kit. both have sleep sofas.
