Ten miles east of West Glacier on Montana Hwy 2 are ten log cabins nestled back in the trees. The grounds are large with a playground area, indoor swimming pool, volleyball court, horseshoes, and a hiking trail that includes a very fine cascade back in the woods. Children could stay busy here for days. The cabins are situated so there is quite a bit of privacy. The wildflowers and shrubbery are much as they would appear in the wild. There is enough room to park two cars at the cabin. The large front porch, which spans the width of the cabin, has a hot tub, a picnic table, and a grill. Entering the front door, you find yourself in a large living area. The living room has a sofa bed. There is wood already cut for the fireplace in a wood box. The dining area table seats four and has a leaf for additional seats. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped. A bedroom and a large bath complete the downstairs. The bathroom has a tub and laundry facilities. The moose towels were thick and fun. Upstairs is another bedroom and 3/4 bath. This area is a loft that is open to the living room, but the bed area is far enough back for privacy. There is also a sitting area in the loft. Glacier Wilderness Resort provides vacations full of memories for the entire family.

Yellowstone National Park has been a top tourist destination since its opening in 1872 and is the perfect location for seeing the park's hundreds of geysers, including the world-famous Old Faithful, pools of boiling mud, and an amazing assembly of wildlife, such as bears, wolves, bison, and elk. While the national park is certainly its top draw, West Yellowstone is also an ideal location for skiing and snowmobiling.
