You can stroll down Los Rios Street, considered one of the oldest residential streets in California, and enter a two hundred-year-old adobe, visiting cottage style shops and galleries along the tree-lined street. Throughout the downtown there are superb examples of many architectural styles from Adobe through Italianate, Victorian, Spanish Revival, and Streamlined Modern to "the first postmodern building. The famous Del Mar Thoroughbred Club racetrack is nearby.
